Sapping Time is Here!

There are few things in the state of Maine that are as encouraging as "sap season."  When sap from the maple trees begins to flow, its a sure sign that spring is just around the corner!  Yesterday we began boiling sap once again for another year's supply of yummy maple syrup!  Its a fun and educational family affair!   1. Cool! I wish we could take part too! Sadly, we don't have a forrest of maple trees, nor is it cold enough in winter...

    I'll bet the syrup is very good too!

  2. I've only ever read about that in "Little House on the Prairie." Sounds so cool! I'd love to see it (and taste it!) one day!
