Snapshot of the Week

After days of preparation, the girls AWANA Grand Prix cars were complete and ready for competition.  The “hotdog” car and the “baby” car represented hours of family time, planning, cutting, sanding, painting, and assembling.  On Saturday the girls raced their cars and had a blast!

The highlight of my day was hearing that my eldest daughter told her teacher that “it doesn’t matter if I get a trophy, its just fun to race.” The girls did come home with trophies which was an added bonus in the midst of all the fun!

“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:19-21

  1. I always loved how creative the kids were in designing and decorating their cars for these races. Never two alike.
